Delete your FixAm account

Delete it in the app

1. Open the FixAm app. Tap Join at the bottom, then Login, and sign in with the phone number on your account and the code we text you.
2. Tap Dashboard at the bottom of the screen.
3. Scroll down to Quick actions and tap Delete account.
4. Type DELETE in the box, tap Delete My Account, then Delete Permanently.

Your account is deleted at once and your public profile stops showing on FixAm. This cannot be undone. If you want to come back later, you will need to apply again and be verified again.

Cannot use the app? Email us

Email hello@fixam.pro with the subject "Delete my FixAm account". Tell us your full name, the phone number on your account and, if you have it, your profile link (fixam.pro/pro/...). We check that the request really comes from you, then delete your account within 7 days and tell you when it is done.

What we delete

When your account is deleted, we remove all of this from FixAm straight away:

• Your pro profile: name, phone and WhatsApp numbers, trade, area, bio, services, languages and years of experience
• Your Ghana Card number and our record of your Ghana Card and selfie photos
• Your references (their names and phone numbers)
• Your profile photo, cover photo, My Work photos and certifications
• Your business page, if you have one, with its photos and reviews
• Reviews customers left about you, your replies, and reports made about you
• Your profile view, call and WhatsApp counts
• Your email, Apple or Google sign-in link, if you added one

What we keep, and for how long

• Photo files: the image files (Ghana Card, selfie and your other photos) are removed from our image storage within 30 days, as our Privacy Policy says.
• Backups: we take a copy of our database once a week to protect against loss. Your data can stay in those copies for up to 90 days, then they are deleted. We never use them to bring a deleted account back.
• Text message log: if we sent you SMS announcements, our log of those messages keeps your name, number and whether the message was delivered. Email us and we will remove it.
• Notifications on your phone:your phone's notification token stays linked to the device, not to you, so the app can still show general FixAm notifications. Turn notifications off in your phone settings or uninstall the app to stop them.
• Reviews you wrote as a customer: reviews you left for other pros are not part of your pro account. Email us if you want them removed too.

Not a pro?

Customers do not need a FixAm account. If you left a review or a report, or we text you about finding pros, email hello@fixam.pro with your phone number and we will delete what we hold about you. To stop our texts, you can also reply STOP to any of them.
