Change Your Phone Number or Main Trade
Your phone number signs you in, so changing it goes through the FixAm team. How to ask on WhatsApp or by email, and what to send so it is quick.
Two things on your FixAm profile cannot be changed from the app: your phone number and your main trade. The FixAm team changes them for you. Send a message with the details below.
Why you cannot change it yourself
Your phone number is your login. FixAm sends your sign-in code to it. If anyone holding your phone for a minute could change it, they could take over your profile, your reviews and your invoices. So the team handles the change.
Your main trade decides where you appear in search and was checked with your application, so a change goes through the team too.
Everything else, such as your photo, bio, area and extra trades, you can edit yourself. Edit your profile shows how.
Change your phone number
Contact the team from the More tab in the app: tap Contact Us, then Chat on WhatsApp or Email us. Or message directly:

Send:
- Your full name, as on your Ghana Card.
- Your old phone number.
- Your new phone number.
- Your profile link, if you have it.
If you can, send the message from your old number. The team typically replies within 24 hours.
Once the change is made, sign in with the new number. Your profile, reviews and invoices stay as they were.
Changing only your WhatsApp number? It is not on the Edit profile screen either. Send the team your name, your login number and the new WhatsApp number, the same way.
Change your main trade
Send the team your full name, phone number, your current trade and the new one. Add a sentence about your experience in the new trade, and any certificate you have for it.
If you only want to add a second skill, you do not need to change your main trade. Add up to 2 extra trades yourself under Your trades in Edit profile.
Deleting your account instead
If you are leaving FixAm rather than changing details, you can delete your account yourself. In the app, open the More tab and go to Account, then Delete account. Deleting is permanent. Read how account deletion works before you start.
