Turn On Notifications for Approvals and Updates

Get a push the moment your profile, edits, work photos, certificates or business page are approved or need changes. How to turn notifications on.

Most changes to your FixAm profile go to the team for a check. Notifications tell you the moment they decide, so you know when your new photo is live or when something needs fixing. They only work if you allow them on your phone and are signed in to the FixAm app.

What we notify you about (push and SMS)

The FixAm app sends a notification when:

  • Your application is approved, or not approved.
  • Your profile changes are approved, or not approved.
  • A work photo is approved, or not approved.
  • A certificate is verified, or not approved.
  • Your business page is received, goes live or needs changes, and when your registration certificate is approved or not accepted.
  • Your account is suspended, deactivated or reactivated.

Important decisions also come by SMS, so you get them even without the app: your application result, a rejected profile change, business registration decisions and any change to your account.

There is no notification for a new review. Check the Reputation card on your dashboard, which shows how many reviews are new.

Turn notifications on (iPhone and Android)

The app asks for permission after you sign in. If you tapped Allow, you are set. If you tapped Don't Allow, or are not sure, check your phone settings.

iPhone:

  1. Open Settings, then Notifications.
  2. Scroll to FixAm and tap it.
  3. Switch on Allow Notifications.

Android (names vary a little by phone):

  1. Open Settings, then Apps.
  2. Find FixAm and tap Notifications.
  3. Switch notifications on.

Still not getting them?

  • Sign in. Notifications go to the phone where you are signed in as a pro. If you signed out, sign in again.
  • Sign out and back in. This registers your phone for notifications again. On the dashboard, tap Log out, then sign in with your phone number and SMS code.
  • Check Do Not Disturb or Focus. These can silence notifications without telling you.
  • On Android, check battery saver. Some phones stop apps from receiving notifications to save battery. Allow FixAm to run in the background.
  • New phone? Allow notifications on it after you sign in. The permission belongs to each phone, not to your account.
  • Update the app from the App Store or Google Play.

Still nothing after all that? Message the FixAm team on WhatsApp at +233 24 055 5040. Key decisions reach you by SMS in the meantime.
