Find a Registered Trade Business

Need a company, not one person? The Businesses page lists trade businesses run by ID-verified pros, with registration checked by the FixAm team.

Some jobs need a company rather than one person: an office fit-out, a block of flats, a contract that needs paperwork. FixAm's Businesses page lists trade companies run by pros whose Ghana Card the team has checked. Before a business page goes live, the team also checks its registration certificate with the Office of the Registrar of Companies.

A business or an individual pro

Choose an individual pro for most home jobs: a repair, an installation, a one-off visit. You deal with the person doing the work. Search for a pro.

Choose a business when you want a team, a shop or an office to deal with, a company name on the invoice, or proof of registration for your landlord, employer or estate.

Every business page shows two badges:

  • Owner ID-verified: the person who runs the business passed the FixAm Ghana Card and selfie check.
  • Registered business: the FixAm team checked the registration certificate with the ORC.

Business registration certificate explains the check from the business side. What the badges mean covers every badge on FixAm.

Filter by trade and area

On the website:

  1. Go to Businesses.
  2. Choose a Trade and an Area.
  3. Under Sort, choose Best reviewed or Newest.

Looking for one person after all? Tap Find an individual pro at the top of the page.

In the FixAm app: open the More tab and tap Businesses. Or, on the Search tab, tap See businesses under Looking for a company? Then set the trade and area.

Hours, location and reviews

Open a business to see its page. Check:

  • Run by: the owner's name. Tap it to see their personal profile and reviews.
  • Services and the areas it serves.
  • Opening hours, with Open now or Closed.
  • Find us: a landmark, the GhanaPost GPS address with a Copy button, and Get directions.
  • Work photos, checked by the FixAm team before they show.
  • Reviews of the business. These are separate from the owner's personal reviews.

Before you agree, ask the business in writing: who will do the work, how long it will take, the price split into labour and materials, and any warranty. A registered company should be comfortable putting that on paper.

To contact the business, tap the call or WhatsApp button. You deal with the business directly, and FixAm takes no part in the price or the payment. After the job, tap Write a review. If something goes wrong, Report this business is at the bottom of the page.
