Business Registration Certificate: What to Upload

Business pages need a registration certificate. Which documents FixAm accepts, how the team checks them with the Registrar of Companies and the blue badge.

Every business page on FixAm needs a business registration certificate. The FixAm team checks it with the Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) before the page can go live. When it is approved, your page shows the blue Registered business badge. This page explains what to upload and what happens next.

Certificates we accept

FixAm accepts either of these:

  • Certificate of incorporation, for a registered company, such as a limited company.
  • Business name registration certificate, for a business registered under a business name.

The certificate must be for the business you are putting on FixAm. The name on it should match the business name on your page.

Not registered yet? Registration is done with the ORC, not with FixAm. Visit the ORC website for how to register. FixAm cannot register a business for you or advise on fees.

Upload it: number, type and pages

You add the certificate in the last step of the business page form on fixam.pro, Show your work, under Registration certificate. Set up a business page covers the full form.

  1. Under Registration number, copy the number from your certificate, exactly as printed.
  2. Under Certificate type, choose Certificate of incorporation or Business name registration certificate.
  3. Under Certificate pages, tap Add certificate pages and add a clear photo of each page. You can add 1 to 4 pages. Tap Add another page for more.

For a photo the team can read:

  • Lay the certificate flat in good light.
  • Fit the whole page in the frame, with all four corners.
  • Avoid shadows and glare across the name and number.
  • Send every page that has writing on it.

Only the FixAm admin team can see your certificate. It never shows on your page.

How we check it with the ORC

After you submit, a person on the FixAm team checks your certificate and registration number with the ORC. Your page shows Registration under review while this happens. It can take a few days.

You get a notification and an SMS when the check is done.

  • Approved: the registration is confirmed. The team can now approve your page.
  • Certificate not accepted: the message gives the reason. Reasons include Not found at the ORC, Name does not match, Document not readable and Expired or cancelled. Fix the problem, add your certificate again and send the page for review.

The page cannot go live until the certificate is approved.

Changing the certificate later. If you send a new certificate for a page that is already live, the page stays live. The Registered business badge comes off until the team approves the new certificate, then it shows again.

The blue Registered business badge

Once your certificate is approved, your page shows the blue Registered business badge next to Owner ID-verified. Customers who tap it read that the FixAm team checked the business's registration certificate with the Office of the Registrar of Companies. The registration number and the document itself are never public.

Customers who need a company, for an office contract or a larger building job, look for this badge. What the badges mean shows how customers read it.
