Add a Trade Certificate and Get the Gold Badge
Upload an NVTI certificate, apprenticeship letter or other trade credential and earn the gold Certified chip. Up to 3 certificates; files stay private.
Have an NVTI certificate, a letter from your apprenticeship or a safety training certificate? Add it to FixAm. Once the team has checked it, your profile shows a gold Certified badge, and customers can see the name of each certificate and who issued it. You can add up to 3.
Which certificates count
Any document that shows you trained or qualified in your trade, for example:
- An NVTI certificate, such as NVTI Certificate II in Plumbing.
- An apprenticeship completion letter or certificate from the master or shop you trained with.
- A safety training certificate.
- A certificate from a technical institute or trade school.
No certificate? You can still do well on FixAm. Reviews and work photos carry a lot of weight with customers.
Add one: pages, review and status
Open the FixAm app, tap the Dashboard tab, then Certifications under Quick actions. The screen lists your certificates and their status, with a counter out of 3.
Each certificate shows one of these:
- In review: the FixAm team is checking it.
- On your profile: approved. The gold badge is live.
- Not approved: the team could not accept it. Remove it and upload a clearer document.
To add a certificate:
- In Add a certification, type the Certificate name, for example "NVTI Certificate II - Plumbing".
- Under Issued by, type who issued it, for example "NVTI".
- Under Certificate document, attach a photo. Choose Take Photo or Choose from Library. Add up to 4 pages if the certificate has a back or more than one page.
- Tap Submit for verification.
Photograph the certificate flat, in good light, with every corner and all the writing visible.
The app sends a notification when the team decides: Certification verified or Certification not approved. You can also manage certificates on fixam.pro, in the Certifications tab after you sign in.
To remove a certificate, open it on the Certifications screen and confirm Remove. If you already have 3, remove one before you add another.
What customers see
On your profile, a gold Certified badge appears next to your trade. When a customer taps it in the app, or hovers or taps on fixam.pro, they see each certificate's name and who issued it.
Your document stays private. Only the FixAm team sees the photos you uploaded. The certificate number, your photo on it and any other details never show.
