📱Phone Repairers in Accra, Ghana

Two jobs make up most phone repair in Accra: a cracked screen, and a charging port that has stopped holding the cable.

The trade clusters around Kwame Nkrumah Circle, with Odorkor, Lapaz and Kaneshie feeding off the same supply. That is where screens, batteries and flex cables come from, and it is why a technician in Adenta or Teshie may quote you a day rather than an hour. He is going to Circle for your part. Worth knowing before you agree a time.

Charging ports rarely die on their own. They pack with pocket lint and harmattan dust until the cable no longer seats, and a careful clean sometimes ends the job right there. Ask for that first. Water is the other seasonal one. A phone that spent ten minutes in a downpour at a trotro stop needs opening and drying the same day, not a week in a bowl of rice. Swollen batteries that lift the screen off the frame are a heat problem, and they do not improve with time.

What moves the price, since no two quotes are built the same way:

• whether the screen is an original panel or a copy
• whether the display comes as a full assembly with the frame, or as glass alone
• whether anything has to be recovered off a board that no longer powers on
• how long the technician stands behind his own work

Back up before you hand the phone over, and take out your SIM and memory card. Ask for the quote and the warranty on WhatsApp as a message, so there is a record of what was agreed.
