Got an Invoice From a Pro? How to Pay It

A FixAm invoice link shows what the pro charged and their MoMo details. Pay the pro directly, then keep your receipt by link or PDF. No sign-up needed.

Some pros on FixAm send invoices from the FixAm app. You get a link on WhatsApp that starts with fixam.pro/i/. Open it in any browser. You do not need the app or an account. The invoice shows what the pro charged and where to pay. You pay the pro directly, and FixAm never touches the money.

Read the invoice

At the top you see the pro's name, their FixAm ID and a green ID verified badge. That badge means the FixAm team checked the pro's Ghana Card, a selfie and a reference before they could send invoices.

Then check, line by line:

  • Bill to: your name.
  • Issued and Due: when the invoice was sent and when the pro expects payment.
  • The items: each job or material, with the quantity and price in GHS.
  • Subtotal, any Discount, and the Total to pay.
  • Note: anything the pro added, such as a warranty or what is included.

Does it match what you agreed? If not, message the pro before you pay. Tap Message on WhatsApp at the bottom of the invoice to reach them.

If the invoice shows a Draft label, the pro has not finished it yet. Wait for the final version. If it says the invoice was cancelled, nothing is owed on it.

Pay the pro directly

If the pro saved their mobile money details, the invoice has a Pay to block with the number and wallet name.

  1. Open your MoMo menu or app and choose to send money.
  2. Type the number from the Pay to block.
  3. Check the name your network shows matches the name on the invoice.
  4. Send the Total. Put the invoice number, for example INV-0004, in the reference if your network allows it.
  5. Message the pro to say you have paid, with a screenshot of your MoMo confirmation.

No Pay to block? Ask the pro how they want to be paid. Cash and bank transfer work too.

Your receipt

When the pro receives your money, they mark the invoice paid in the app. That makes a receipt, with its own number such as RCP-0001. Ask the pro to send it. It comes as a fixam.pro/r/ link.

The receipt shows the PAID stamp, the amount, how you paid and the pro's name. The invoice link you already have also changes: it now shows a PAID stamp and a link to the receipt.

Tap Download PDF on the invoice or the receipt to save a copy on your phone. Keep it in case you need to show you paid. Pros learn about this side of things in Give a customer a receipt.

A real FixAm invoice:

  • Opens on fixam.pro, with an address that starts fixam.pro/i/ for an invoice or fixam.pro/r/ for a receipt.
  • Shows the pro's name, FixAm ID and ID verified badge, and the name links to their FixAm profile.
  • Has a Pay to name that matches the name your network shows when you send.

Be careful if:

  • The link goes to any other website, or the "invoice" is a photo or a typed message rather than a fixam.pro link or a FixAm PDF.
  • Someone asks you to pay a different number from the one on the invoice.
  • The amount is different from what you agreed and nobody explained why.

If something looks wrong, do not pay. Message the pro on the WhatsApp number from their FixAm profile, and report the provider if you suspect fraud. Need another pro instead? Use Search.
